DEATH SQUAD – theological genocide – 2xLP
more than simply a band or solo project, death squad combined a highly complex assemblage of writings and visuals with performances full of psychological and physical confrontations never before seen and never since replicated on american shores. death squad differentiated themselves by bringing their multimedia existentialism to the flesh across several infamous tours, which are partially memorialized on blood flecked flyers and pamphlets, a staple of death squad live. originally released in 1998, theological genocide culminated in the ‘self annihilation’ tour across north america, which is when we came in contact with the artist. Death Squad's level of dedication was rarely matched at the time, and their fearless events and sheer level of touring led to years of discussion and debate. one of the most influential releases for prurient and hospital productions and we are honored to present it on gatefold vinyl for the first time as part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the label. edition of 250.
MLEHST – the difficulty in crossing a field – 2xLP
the chance meeting of musique concrete and pornography. mlehst is the unspoken master of british sound collage, much more sinister than nurse with wound and much more raw. mlehst creates true surrealist electronics without explanation or apology and leaves the audience to live with their own perversions. the pen is mightier than the sword - mlehst's juxtaposition of abstracted audio stories with eerie and mysterious track titles are paramount to none. always humble but eager to dissect the secret world of man's fetishes hidden away in nature. again, of huge importance to the development of the hospital aesthetic - so much is due to mlehst and we are thrilled to present this release on 2xlp gatefold vinyl. originally released as a cdr on bandaged hand produce. edition of 250.
ORPHX – 01/02 – 2xCD
there are less than a handful of bands that can honestly say they were equally involved in the early 90’s noise scene, the mid 2000’s dark ambient scene, and what simultaneously emerged as the power noise movement in europe. orphx is one of these pioneers and have gracefully interwoven their tortured electronic architecture among the various subcultures of fringe electronics, while seamlessly continuing on to remain a vital part of the contemporary wave of industrial techno hysteria.
we are proud to present Orphx 01/02, the double CD counterpart to the noble Mannequin 2xLP vinyl release: Archive 1993/1994.
edition of 300. design by juan mendez.
